Convert kinetic to electric energy on a central platform

The conversion from kinetic to electric energy will happen on a central platform. Hence
the cable to the shore can be plugged in directly to the power grid.
Instead of a generator on each single windmill, place a generator on a central platform, where kinetic energy produced by windmills will be converted to electric energy. Taking away the generator on top of each windmill will reduce the weight of a windmill. Therefore the design can be slimmer which is economical feasible.

I like the idea. How do you plan to transfer the kinetic energy to a central platform?
